From the Ground Up -

When we originally chose Dan and Shay’s “From the Ground Up” as our wedding song we didn’t fully realize how perfectly it represented us - and this new adventure we were about to jump head first into.

Before we were The Grand Ivory we were just a engaged couple with a dream to create the space we envisioned for our wedding day now here we are watching as so many amazing couples fill this space with their love, their stories and their idea of a “perfect wedding”

Each part of this space was planned and built by us in some way or another - Brittany is the maker of never ending to-do lists, “good ideas” and pretending to be helpful when it comes to the actual doing part… so this is where we introduce Preston, the one who makes it all happen. There would quite literally be nothing here without him and his willingness to figure it out, no matter how big or small of a task it may be.

If there is one thing you get from reading this we hope that it is the fact we live for this venue - we are constantly dreaming up ways to grow and improve, adding to the ways we can make your day as special as ours will always be to us. This space houses so many special memories for us, our family and we hope it can become that for you as well.

This thing you will hear us say over -AND over again as we walk through your day with you will be “Make it your own - Make it YOU.” Our hope for every couple is that their wedding is a representation of who they are as a couple. Forget the standards and the traditions you might feel pressured to do - we want to see YOU.

What was that for us?

Welcoming our guests into all our favourite things - cookies that represented each of our pups, maple syrup for everyone to enjoy after our wedding and of course - an Ice cream truck arriving for a late night snack… can you tell we like snacks?

What we didn’t plan for?

Mother Nature was not happy for the lack of invite so she stormed in with Hurricane Dorion and laughed at our plans for an outdoor ceremony - now we are a HUGE advocate for mapping out a backup plan - just incase

What’s next?

We are three years in and just getting started- we have so so many plans for this place we call our own - tag along for the journey!
